Hepatitis B	Hepatitis B virus can lead to life-long infection, Cirrhosis of the liver, liver cancer/ failure & death.
Cervical Cancer Vaccine	Protects against the most common types of HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) causing Cervical Cancer, No.1 cause of cancer-related deaths in Indian women.
Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis (TdaP)	Protects against Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis (Whooping Cough). All adults need to get TdaP vaccine & women need one dose in each pregnancy.
Typhoid	Typhoid fever is a life-threatening illness and very common in India. Especially important for hostellers & those who eat out.
Hepatitis A	Hepatitis A virus spreads through contaminated food & water. It is a common cause of jaundice & liver disease. Essential for hostellers & those who eat out.
Chicken Pox	Chicken Pox causes skin rash & blisters. In adults it can also lead to pneumonia or infection of the brain.
MMR	Protects against Measles, Mumps & Rubella. Required as immunity reduces with age.
Meningococcal Conjugate	Protects against Meningitis, Disability & Death caused by Meningococcus. Essential for all students, especially those travelling abroad.
Influenza	Flu can lead to pneumonia & hospitalization if you have an underlying illness.
Rabies	Rabies has no cure. It can lead to paralysis & death.You need this vaccine if you are at risk of dog-bite.

1 Month	HEPATITIS B 2^nd dose	As mentioned above.
1½ Months	DPT + HIB, IPV (Injectable Polio Vaccine) ROTA VIRUS DIARRHEA	Diphtheria, Pertussis (whooping cough), Tetanus. Pneumonia & meningitis d/t Haemophilus Influenzae B. Superior protection against Polio. Severe watery diarrhea, dehydration caused by Rota virus.
2½ Months	DPT + HIB, IPV, ROTA VIRUS DIARRHEA	As mentioned above.
3 ½ Months	DPT + HIB, IPV ROTA VIRUS DIARRHEA	As mentioned above.
1 ½-9 Months	PNEUMOCOCCAL	Commonest cause of meningitis, pneumonia & septicemia in children.
6 Months	HEPATITIS B 3^rd dose, OPV	Jaundice, liver disease & cancer.
≥ 6 Months	FLU	Prolonged illness & pneumonia caused by Influenza virus.
9 Months	MEASLES, OPV	Measles.
9-12 Months	TYPHOID CONJUGATE VACCINE	Better & longer lasting protection against Typhoid.
1 Year	HEPATITIS A 1^st dose	Jaundice & liver disease caused by Hepatitis A virus.
12-15 Months	PNEUMOCOCCAL	As mentioned above.
15 Months	CHICKEN POX 1^st dose	Infected blisters & pneumonia caused by Varicella virus.
15 Months	MMR 1^st dose	Measles, Mumps, Rubella.
18 Months	DPT + HIB, IPV 1^st Booster	Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus. Hib. Polio.
20 Months	HEPATITIS A 2^nd dose	Jaundice & liver disease.
18-24 Months	FLU	Prolonged illness & pneumonia caused by Influenza virus.
2 Years	TYPHOID	Typhoid fever.
>2 Years	MENINGOCOCCAL CONJUGATE	Meningitis & disability caused by Meningococcus
3,4 & 5 Years	FLU	As mentioned above.
4 - 6 Years	CHICKEN POX 2^nd dose	Infected blisters & pneumonia caused by Varicella virus.
4 - 6 Years	MMR 2^nd dose	Measles, Mumps, Rubella.
4 ½ - 5 Years	DPT/DaPT, OPV+IPV 2^ndBooster	Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus. Polio.
5Yrs	TYPHOID	Typhoid fever.
≥9 Years	CERVICAL CANCER VACCINE	Cancer & death caused by Human Papilloma Virus
10 Years	Tdap	Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertusis (whooping cough).
